The Idea
With over 45 years of sewing experience, I made, clothing, crafts, curtains, slip covers and did alterations, but it has always been the personalized gifts I enjoyed crafting. Then someone asked me if I could make reusable environmentally friendly grocery bags out of left over sunbrella® material. And so it began……
Style & Quality
I take pride in every gift I craft. Almost all of the material is up-cycled. Meaning that it would be tossed if not collect from shops. Trimmings, end of roll, discontinued, and sample fabrics along with up-cycle jeans are the substraights used mostly in making my one of a kind stylish gifts. Comfortable, strong straps, double stitched, serged seams and brass or stainless steel grommets, are part of the construction of the quality gifts.
100% Handmade
Every gift starts with an idea of what I think will look good on that particular fabric and for the purpose of the gift. The decission of style and embroidery design for each unique gift is a project in itself. No two bags are identical, although for grocery/tote sets and multi gift collections, like bridesmaid gifts or his/her totes, I will do my best to make them as similar as possible if so desired.
